IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING 2026 PROGRAM
The 2026 Canary CREST Program is currently offered as an in-person, on-campus summer research training program.
KEY DATES
Application open date: December 19, 2025
Application closed: January 19, 2026 (late submissions will NOT be accepted)
Application review: January – April 2026
Internship Period: June 15, 2026 – August 21, 2026
All uploaded documents must be in Portable Document Format (PDF) only.
Documents required to complete an application:
- Candidates’ academic work (e.g., GPA, courses-associated laboratories, prior research experience, computer skills)
- Current transcript
- An essay that describes an applicant’s interest for participating in this program (max. 5,000 characters)
- A 1-2 page resume
- Names and contact information of individuals who can provide a letter of recommendation (NOTE: Letters are not required at the time of submission of the application)
